Sycuan Casino Resort Hosts Its Holiday Gift Giving Ceremony
Where does the magic of Christmas go after the tree comes down? While others forget to give back year-round, Sycuan continues to partner with nonprofits to improve the future of the San Diego community all year. Sycuan Casino Resort presented $190,000 to 27 different charities on Thursday, Dec. 5 during its 18th Holiday Gift Giving Ceremony.

“We always look forward to this time of year because it brings an added opportunity to share support from Sycuan with the real difference makers in our region,” said Cody Martinez, Chairman of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation. “We are very proud to celebrate together this morning and honor each of you with this holiday gift.”

At the event, guests were warmly welcomed by members of the Tribal Council and Sycuan leadership. Over breakfast, representatives from each charity had the opportunity to connect with Tribal Council and leadership members, sharing their passion and dedication to improving the San Diego community.

The Holiday Gift Giving Ceremony is hosted each December at Sycuan Casino Resort. On behalf of Sycuan, members of the Sycuan Tribal Council and leadership team individually select a charity that resonate with them to support their mission, ranging from social, environment, health, education and diverse communities that strive to improve the life quality of others in San Diego.
