Sycuan Donates $5,000 to The Water Conservation Garden April 22, 2022 In honor of Earth Day on Friday, April 22, Sycuan Casino Resort proudly donated $5,000 to The Water Conservation Garden and in support of their San Diego Tree Week event. Additionally, Sycuan’s General Manager Rob Cinelli spent the afternoon with The Garden team learning more about the exhibits and helped plant Rainbow Hierloom Tomatoes in their vegetable garden. About San Diego Tree Week San Diego Tree Week, an initiative of The Water Conservation Garden, will bring neighbors together to plant trees in their community. Businesses, schools, and individuals will come together to celebrate the many benefits of trees. This week-long celebration, April 22-27, 2022, encourages all San Diego County residents to appreciate and understand the usefulness of trees. The campaign aims to slow climate change by educating thousands of San Diegans about the benefits of tree planting. San Diego Tree Week will teach our community as trees grow, we slow climate change by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. Trees also offer cooling shade, block cold winter winds, attract birds and wildlife, purify our air, prevent soil erosion, clean our water, and add grace and beauty to our community.
