The History of The Annual Sycuan Cup

The Sycuan Cup is an annual charity golf tournament hosted by the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, celebrating over three decades of philanthropic community support and sporting tradition. With great leadership from the Sycuan Council members, they bring together tribal members, beneficiaries, and event sponsors for a day of golf with a focus on raising funds for different nonprofits.

Annually, the event aims to raise $100,000 to help the nonprofits serve the community through their respective missions. While attendees enjoy a day of golfing, they also participate in scheduled activities, including a welcome breakfast, awards ceremony, check presentation with a speech, and prizes, followed by a dinner ceremony.

Conclusion

With the support of all attendees, the 34th Annual Sycuan Cup Golf Tournament delivered a successful weekend of competition, sportsmanship, and community spirit. Thanks to everyone who swinged for a cause, we’re able to strengthen our community together. With a total of $100,000 being donated to four charities, the event supported each nonprofits respective mission.
