Team members show their pride and support to win SDFC prizes

In February, Sycuan Casino Resort gathered its employees to celebrate the season kickoff of San Diego FC’s second year. From shooting goals to enjoying small bites and winning prizes, the Sycuan team shared a moment woven into one—filled with pride, excitement, and support—cheering on the return of San Diego FC.

SDFC Trivia

As fans got ready for San Diego FC’s first match, Sycuan team members kicked off the season with a game of trivia at the team dining room during lunch. Team members gathered to test their soccer knowledge for a chance to be among the top scorers, who were then entered into a raffle to win a pair of SDFC tickets.

For those who couldn’t make it to the event, Sycuan team members still had a chance to participate in the raffle by answering trivia questions online.

SDFC #1 Fan Contest

With energy still in the air, Sycuan team members shared pictures showing their best San Diego FC gear for their chance to win a pair of tickets to a SDFC match. The top three winners were determined by the amount of likes they received from team members across all departments in Sycuan’s employee app, Muuyawaa.

SDFC Team Member Slot Tournament

The following week, Sycuan team members headed to the unCommons for a round of slot-tournament fun and light bites in support of SDFC. Winners from each session proceeded to play Plinko for a chance to win a prize, including a pair of tickets or SDFC merchandise.

Additionally, players with the highest scores of the day also won prizes. First-place winners won a $50 SDFC gift card and a pair of tickets, while second- and third-place winners won an SDFC scarf and other merchandise. The tournament created the perfect blend of friendly competition and a valuable team‑bonding opportunity.

Exclusive Sycuan Team Member Meet and Greet

To keep the celebration going, Sycuan Casino Resort invited Andres Dreyer and Jeppe Tverskov to a meet-and-greet. Hosted in the Wachena Event Center, Sycuan team members lined up to receive autographs and take pictures with the San Diego FC players.
