Sycuan Partners with the San Diego Blood Bank for Padres Summer Blood Drive

Sycuan Casino Resort had the incredible opportunity to partner with the San Diego Blood Bank for the Padres Summer Blood Drive, held at Gallagher Square in Petco Park. During the event, a representative of the Sycuan Tribe presented a donation to the nonprofit, supporting their mission of providing a reliable supply of blood to hospitals and patients across Southern California.

This collaboration underscores our collective dedication to the health and well-being of our community,” Douglas Morton, CEO of San Diego Blood Bank, said. “Together, we are not only expanding access to lifesaving blood donations but also reinforcing the power of unity and compassion in building a healthier future for all.”

Generous donors from across San Diego showed up to the Summer Blood Drive to make a meaningful impact in our community. With the help of the community, the San Diego Blood Bank collected a total of 527 pints of blood from donors, which will approximately help save over 1,000 patient’s lives in Southern California.

As a thank you, donors were gifted a limited-edition commemorative Padres Summer Blood Drive t-shirt and two complimentary tickets to an upcoming Padres home game, in celebration of their life-saving contribution.
