Sycuan Casino Resort and the San Diego Blood Bank Host Blood Drive

Not All Heroes Wear Capes: Sycuan Casino Resort Partners with San Diego Blood Bank

Local heroes like the San Diego Blood Bank partnered with Sycuan Cares, the community outreach of Sycuan Casino Resort, to host a blood drive, allowing team members and guests to save lives on Thursday, Feb. 13.

At 11:30AM, team members from Sycuan Casino Resort and guests lined up to donate blood in front of the bloodmobile from the San Diego Blood Bank, located at the east entrance of the casino. Guests were happy to donate and contribute to the total collection of 21 blood units, saving the lives of approximately 63 local individuals.

With a high demand for blood type A-, B- and O, Sycuan Cares proudly supports the San Diego Blood Bank’s mission by hosting blood drives to ensure a steady supply of these and other essential blood types for lifesaving and treatment purposes. Since the late 1990s, Sycuan Cares has consistently supported the nonprofit by hosting blood drives, making donations, and providing sponsorships.
