Tequila Sunrise

This popular modern version of this cocktail contains tequila, orange juice, and grenadine and was created at the Trident in Sausalito, Californianorth of San Francisco. In 1972, at a private party at the Trident, organized to of kick off the Rolling Stones’ 1972 tour in America, Mick Jagger had one of the cocktails, liked it, and he and his entourage started drinking them.

  • 1.5 ounces Tequila
  • 4 ounces Orange Juice
  • 1 ounce of Grenadine
  • Pour tequila into a bucket glass and then fill with ice.
  • Fill glass with orange juice and float grenadine on top. Do not mix.
  • Garnish with a cherry and an orange wheel.

 

Blue Lagoon

A popular summer cocktail featuring blue Curaçao. Curacao is a liqueur flavored with the dried peel of the larahacitrus fruit, grown on the island of Curaçao.

  • 1.5 ounces Tequila
  • 1 ounce Blue Curacao
  • 3 ounces pineapple juice
  • Shake with ice, strain into ice filled glass.
  • Garnish with a pineapple wedge and cherry.
