Sycuan Casino presents the Grilled Cheese Challenge! Three of The Buffet chefs were challenged to put their own spin on the classic grilled cheese. The three sandwiches were judged by a panel of three based on presentation, taste, side dish, cohesiveness and creativity.
One grilled cheese will be featured on the The Buffet menu each week durinpg the month of June so you can judge for yourself!

Shredded smoked pork, thick black peppered bacon, caramelized onion-bacon jam, jalapeño cream cheese, and Tillamook sharp cheddar. Grilled on Texas toast with bacon and pepper Jack cheese butter. Accompanied by crispy Brussels sprouts, bacon lardons, shaved parmesan, and balsamic glaze.
Grilled portobello mushroom, pancetta, avocado, harissa, fontina and white cheddar cheese and balsamic glaze on sundried tomato pesto bread. Served with creamy tomato basil soup.
Lemon thyme sourdough bread, grilled shrimp in tarragon-shallot butter, mascarpone cheese, and Comte cheese. Served with citrus & strawberry arugula salad: Strawberries, watercress, mandarin oranges, ruby red grapes, shaved fennel, crispy shallots, and charred lemon vinaigrette.
