Memorial Day Events

1. This tournament is open to Club Sycuan members only. Guests who are not members of Club Sycuan that would like to participate in this tournament can sign up for free to become a member at any Club Sycuan booth in the casino with current government-issued picture identification.

2. Players must be 21 years of age or older in order to participate in Poker’s “No Limit Hold’em Memorial Day Weekend $10,000 Tournament”.

3. Poker’s “No Limit Hold’em Memorial Day Weekend $10,000 Tournament” will take place on Sunday May 26th, at 10:00am.

4. There will be a minimum $10,000 prize pool if we have a minimum of 50 players. If the buy-ins do not reach the $10,000, the difference will be made up using the Jackpot Reserve account.

5. Guests may participate in Poker’s “No Limit Hold’em Memorial Day Weekend $10,000 Tournament” by registering at the Poker Cage. Buy-in for each $125 will be distributed as follows:

a. House revenue fee = $21
b. Staff fee = $1 (plus all the dealer appreciation money)

7. Players may buy 10,000 in Tournament Bonus Chips for $10 (dealer appreciation) at the start of their play, this will be added to the dealer’s tip pool.

8. Poker’s No Limit Hold’em “No Limit Hold’em Memorial Day Weekend $10,000 Tournament” structure is as follows:
a. Each level is determined by management
b. Breaks at Management discretion.
c. This is a re-entry event. Late entries and re-entries are allowed until the start of level 5.
d. Late entries and reentries will be dealt in immediately (do not have to wait for the blinds) and will receive a full starting stack. Re-entries will be assigned a seat based on random draw or to balance tables at Management’s discretion.
e. All players with a paid seat will have their chips put in play. At the conclusion of the registration period, all paid entries (including alternates) who have yet to be seated will be assigned a seat and their chips will be put into play.
This tournament will seat up to ten (10) players per table.
f. Management decisions are final and without recourse.

9. All Policies and Procedures as stated in P&P ID: 319 for Poker tournaments and Poker operations (including general tournament rules, bank controls, deck controls, and record keeping) will remain applicable. A current copy of the Poker Tournaments Policy & Procedures, provided by the Casino Compliance Administrator, may be found on file in the Poker room.

10. All winners responsible for any applicable taxes, tax forms, fees, gratuities and other government or internationally imposed fees.

11. Sycuan Tribal Members may participate in this event.

12. All winners agree to allow Sycuan Casino Resort to use their image and likeness for any future marketing and promotional purposes without further compensation to winner.

13. Participation in this tournament constitutes agreement to the above rules.

14. Any participant found to be abusing Club Sycuan and/or tournament rules and/or tampering with the tournament in any way may be disqualified and declared ineligible for any prize.

15. Sycuan management has the right to modify or cancel this tournament at any time without advance notice.

2. Players may participate in Poker’s “$10,000 Memorial Day High Hand Extravaganza” jackpot bonus by actively playing in any jackpot eligible Hold’em or Omaha game.

3. Poker’s “$10,000 Memorial Day High Hand Extravaganza” jackpot bonus will run on Monday, May 27, 2024 from 12pm to 12am.

4. All other Promotions or Jackpot Bonuses are canceled from 12pm to12 am except the Jackpot.

a. 12pm – 1pm
b. 1pm – 2pm
c. 2pm – 3pm
d. 3pm – 4pm
e. 4pm – 5pm

g. 6pm – 7pm
h. 7pm – 8pm
i. 8pm – 9pm
j. 9pm – 10pm
k. 10pm – 11pm
l. 11pm – 12am

6. The Poker clock is used as the official time for this Jackpot Bonus.

7. Your hand does not need to be the winning hand to qualify.

8. Players can win this Bonus in conjunction with a jackpot

9. A Limit Hold’em player may win a $250 prize by having the highest qualifying hand, or $150 for having the second highest qualifying hand at the end of each high hand session (must be full house or better to qualify).

10. A No Limit Hold’em player may win a $250 prize by having the highest qualifying hand, or $150 for having the second highest qualifying hand at the end of each high hand session (must be full house or better to qualify).

11. An Omaha player may win a $100 prize by having the highest qualifying hand at the end of each high hand session (must be full house or better to qualify).

12. Both hole cards must play for a hand to qualify in Hold’em. Hole cards must beat, and cannot tie the community cards on the board.

13. In the event of a tie, on any high hand session, the players who tie must share all prizes that it may receive. Hands that tie can only occur if players win with the same qualifying hand at the exact same time

14. Once the highest qualified hand has been determined for that session, players making the same qualifying hand will not be eligible for the same cash prize.
a. For example, ‘Player A’ makes AAAKK at 1:30pm and then “Player B” makes AAAKK at 1:55pm, ‘Player A’ would be the only player entitled to the $250 cash prize, for making the highest qualified hand for that session. ‘Player B’ would then be eligible for the second-place prize of $150.

15. In the event of a Royal Flush, the Hold’em player would automatically win $500, and not be up for the high hand of the hour.

16. In the event of a Royal Flush, the Omaha player would automatically win $250 and not be up for the high hand of the hour.

17. If at the end of the Jackpot Bonus at least $10,000 has not been paid we will do up to 5 $50 cash splashes every ½ hour until the total pay out reached the $10,000 guarantee.

18. Players must be present to win. It is the responsibility of the player to be immediately present in the poker room and to make their presence known.
a. If the player is not present, that prize will be forfeited.

19. Players may win multiple times per the course of this jackpot bonus.

20. Jackpot bonus payments will be paid from a Chip Runner’s imprest bank, as outlined in Policy and Procedure Chip Runner Imprest Bank ID:333.

21. Any jackpot bonus moneys $200 or less, won in hand related play, will be added to the player’s stack at the table.

22. All winners are responsible for any applicable taxes, tax forms, fees, gratuities and other government-imposed fees. If the cumulative total of the calendar’s year’s prizes should total$600 or more, a 1099 will be filed with the IRS.

23. Barred, or excluded individuals are not eligible for free play offers, promotions or jackpot bonus winnings.

24. All winners agree to allow Sycuan Casino Resort to use their image and likeness for any future marketing and promotional purposes without further compensation to the winner.

25. Participation in this jackpot bonus constitutes agreement to the above rules of the giveaway.

26. Any participant found to be abusing Club Sycuan and/or jackpot bonus rules and/or tampering with the jackpot bonus in any way, may be disqualified ineligible for any prize.
