Memorial Day Weekend Events

1. This tournament is open to Club Sycuan members only. Guests who are not members of Club Sycuan that would like to participate in this tournament can sign up for free to become a member at any Club Sycuan booth in the casino.

2. Players must be 21 years of age or older in order to participate in Poker’s “Sycuan’s Holiday Tournament” No Limit Hold’em Tournament.

3. Poker’s “Sycuan’s Holiday Tournament” No Limit Hold’em Tournament will take place in the Poker Room on the following dates and times:
a. Sunday, February 16th, 2025 at 10:00am (President’s Day)
b. Sunday, May 25th, 2025 at 10:00am (Memorial Day)
c. August 31st, 2025 at 10:00am (Labor Day)
d. October 12th, 2025 at 10:00am (Indigenous Day)
e. November 16th, 2025 at 10:00am (After Party)

4. Guests may participate in Poker’s “Sycuan’s Holiday Tournament “” No Limit Hold’em Tournament by registering at the Poker Cage. Buy-in for each $135 will be distributed as follows:
a. $100 will go towards the prize pool
b. $15 house revenue fee
c. $10 staff fee
d. $8 Jackpot Reserve fee
e. $2 Administrator fee

5. During the second break (pink level), there will be a drawing for ten (10) tournament players to participate in a Flip n Go game, with the winner of the Flip n Go game winning $155 cash. To participate in this drawing, tournament players will place their tournament receipt for the $135 Holiday Tournament into the designated barrel located in the tournament area.
a. Upon the commencement of the drawing, a poker team member will notify surveillance before randomly selecting 10 players from the drawing barrel.
6. The Flip n Go game consists of one hand and it is played Crazy Pineapple style:
a. No tournament or live chips are issued or used
b. Once the game begins, players will be dealt three (3) cards.
c. The dealer will produce a flop. After the flop, players will discard one (1) card. The small blind will discard first, followed by the players to small blind’s left.
d. When the discards are complete; players have the option to show their cards face up.
e. The dealer will produce a turn and river card.
f. The player with the best hand in the table wins. The winner of the hand will win $155 cash
g. If there is a tie, an additional game will be played among only the players that tied until one (1) player remains. Players who tie can also choose to split the prize money.

7. Prize money for the $155 will be drawn from the Jackpot reserve, Poker Room’s General fund GL#213-000-0000-20311-000.

8. The Flip n Go game drawing will only be activated with 10 or more players active in the tournament.

9. Jackpot Reserve fee will be added to the Poker Room’s General Fund GL #213-000-0000-20311-000

10. Administrator fee is an industry standard fee to be paid out to all Poker Shift Managers, Poker Floor Managers and Poker Dual Rates. This fee will be distributed to all Poker Shift Managers, Poker Floor Managers and Poker Dual Rates members on their payroll checks.

11. Poker’s “Sycuan’s Holiday Tournament” No Limit Hold’em Tournament structure is as follows:
a. Players will start with 20,000 in tournament chips.
b. Each level is twenty (20) minutes.
c. Ten (10) minute breaks at Management discretion.
d. $40 add-on at the end of Level 3 for 20,000 in chips
e. This is a re-entry event. Late entries and re-entries are allowed until the start of level 4.
f. Late entries and reentries will be dealt in immediately (do not have to wait for the blinds) and will receive a full starting stack. Reentries will be assigned a seat based on random draw or to balance tables at Management’s discretion.
g. All players with a paid seat will have their chips put in play. At the conclusion of the registration period, all paid entries (including alternates) who have yet to be seated will be assigned a seat and their chips will be put into play.
h. Ante will come from the Big Blind Only. The Big Blind is posted before the Ante.
i. This tournament will seat 10-players per table.
j. Management decisions are final and without recourse.

12. All Policies and Procedures as stated in P&P ID: 319 for Poker tournaments and Poker operations (including general tournament rules, bank controls, deck controls, and record keeping) will remain applicable. A current copy of the Poker Tournaments Policy & Procedures, provided by the Casino Compliance Administrator, may be found on file in the Poker room.

13. All winners responsible for any applicable taxes, tax forms, fees, gratuities and other government or internationally imposed fees.

14. Employees and their spouses of Sycuan Casino Resort, Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan, and the Sycuan Gaming Commission are not eligible for any Sycuan Casino Resort promotion. All licensed vendor employees who have been issued a permanent badge cannot participate in any Sycuan Casino Resort promotion while they are assigned to work at Sycuan Casino Resort. It is the responsibility of the player to apprise the Poker Representative that they are not eligible for the promotion. Failure to do so may result in rescindment of prize.

15. Tribal Members may participate in this event.

16. Barred or excluded individuals are not eligible for FREEplay offers, promotions, jackpots winnings or allowed to participate in tournaments.

17. All winners agree to allow Sycuan Casino Resort to use their image and likeness for any future marketing and promotional purposes without further compensation to the winner.

18. Participation in this event constitutes agreement to the above rules.

19. Sycuan management has the right to modify or cancel this even at any time without advance notice. Participation in this tournament constitutes agreement to the above rules.

5. The Poker clock is used as the official time for this Jackpot Bonus.

6. Your hand does not need to be the winning hand to qualify.

7. Players can win this Bonus in conjunction with a jackpot.

8. A Limit Hold’em player may win a $200 prize by having the highest qualifying hand, or $100 for having the second highest qualifying hand at the end of each high hand session, or $50 for having the third highest qualifying hand at the end of each high hand session (must be full house or better to qualify).

9. A No Limit Hold’em player may win a $200 prize by having the highest qualifying hand, or $100 for having the second highest qualifying hand at the end of each high hand session, or $50 for having the second highest qualifying hand at the end of each high hand session (must be full house or better to qualify).

11. Both hole cards must play for a hand to qualify in Hold’em. Hole cards must beat, and cannot tie the community cards on the board.

12. In the event of a tie, on any high hand session, the players who tie must share all prizes that it may receive. Hands that tie can only occur if players win with the same qualifying hand at the exact same time.

13. Once the highest qualified hand has been determined for that session, players making the same qualifying hand will not be eligible for the same cash prize. a. For example, ‘Player A’ makes AAAKK at 1:30pm and then “Player B” makes AAAKK at 1:55pm, ‘Player A’ would be the only player entitled to the $200 cash prize, for making the highest qualified hand for that session. ‘Player B’ would then be eligible for the second-place prize of $100.

14. In the event of a Royal Flush, the Hold’em player would automatically win $400, and not be up for the high hand of the hour.

15. In the event of a Royal Flush, the Omaha player would automatically win $200 and not be up for the high hand of the hour.

16. Players must be present to win. It is the responsibility of the player to be immediately present in the poker room and to make their presence known.
a. If the player is not present, that prize will be forfeited.

17. Players may win multiple times per the course of this jackpot bonus.

18. Jackpot bonus payments will be paid from a Chip Runner’s imprest bank, as outlined in Policy and Procedure Chip Runner Imprest Bank ID:333.

19. Any jackpot bonus moneys $200 or less, won in hand related play, will be added to the player’s stack at the table.

20. All winners are responsible for any applicable taxes, tax forms, fees, gratuities and other government-imposed fees. If the cumulative total of the calendar’s year’s prizes should total $600 or more, a 1099 will be filed with the IRS.

21. Barred, or excluded individuals are not eligible for free play offers, promotions or jackpot bonus winnings.

23. Participation in this jackpot bonus constitutes agreement to the above rules of the giveaway.

24. Any participant found to be abusing Club Sycuan and/or jackpot bonus rules and/or tampering with the jackpot bonus in any way, may be disqualified ineligible for any prize.
