BOLETOS Lorenzo Antonio Allow yourself to be swept away by the powerful voice of Lorenzo Antonio, award-winning Mexican-American singer/songwriter. Antonio’s father taught him how to sing and play “La Bamba” on the guitar when he was just five years old. Antonio got his professional start at the age of 12 when he and his sisters won first place in the wildly popular “Jueguemos A Cantar” contest in with his song “Vamos A Jugar,” which went on to sell over one million copies. Antonio catapulted to stardom during the 80s and 90s, touring extensively through Latin America and the US. He had several Billbaord Top Latin Song chart hits, including “Como Me Gustas,” “Dile,” “Septiembre,” “Muchachita,” “Busco Un Amor,” “No Lloraré,” “Eres Divina,” “La Última Carta,” and “Cómo, Cuándo, Y Porqué?”—an original song written and given to him by Mexican singer Juan Gabriel. Perhaps his greatest hit is “Doce Rosas,” which topped charts and to this day is considered one of the best and most well-known Latin ballads of the ‘80s. Eight of the 10 songs on the album were composed by their brother and father. The ladies often collaborate with their brother, Lorenzo Antonio, a renowned singer in his own right.
