On Saturday, April 21, Team Sycuan walked together to support the National MS Society and the fight against multiple sclerosis. Chairman of the Sycuan Tribal Council, Cody Martinez led Team Sycuan, which was the largest walk team with over 300 registered participants.
“We love Sycuan as the Sycuan organization has been a supporter of the National MS Society for decades,” said Richard Israel, president, National MS Society, Pacific South Coast. “One of my favorite parts about the Sycuan relationship is the holiday party for over 800 people and families affected by multiple sclerosis. Sycuan caters the entire event and provides a beautiful meal. I get emotional thinking about it, because I’ve heard from those who have attended, that it’s the nicest holiday meal they will have. This event wouldn’t be possible without Sycuan.”
